We’ll also address various questions you face during your preparation journey. The entire UPSC mentorship program is designed on an individual basis to suit his/her unique needs and ensure that he’s at his best for CSE.Â
5 Pillars of UPSC Mentorship Program
1. Wisdom
Wisdom refers to a deep understanding of the UPSC examination and the ability to provide insightful guidance to the mentees. With firsthand experience with the challenges and intricacies of the examination process, we offer valuable advice on study strategies, time management, exam patterns, and the selection of relevant study materials.
It will help you gain perspective, make informed decisions, avoid mistakes and pitfalls, save valuable time and navigate the complexities of the UPSC preparation journey.
2. Knowledge
Knowledge is the foundation of UPSC preparation. With a strong grasp of the UPSC syllabus, previous year questions, pyq trend analysis, current affairs, and various subject areas relevant to the examination we will ensure that you develop a solid understanding of all the subjects.
3. Planning
Planning plays a crucial role in the UPSC mentorship program as it helps candidates organize their study schedules effectively. We assist candidates in formulating a personalized study plan that aligns with their strengths, weaknesses, and available time. This plan takes into account the vast UPSC syllabus, the allocation of time to different subjects, revision strategies, and mock tests. We will also help you break down the syllabus into manageable chunks, set realistic goals, and track progress regularly.
4. Accountability
Accountability ensures that candidates remain committed to their UPSC preparation and follow through on their study plans. Through weekly schedules and discussions, we establish a system of accountability and monitor the progress of mentees, providing regular feedback, and conducting periodic assessments.
We will ensure that you remain committed to the set targets, motivate you during challenging times, and help stay focused and disciplined. This pillar ensures that candidates stay on track and maintain a consistent level of effort throughout their UPSC preparation.
5. Results
The ultimate goal of the UPSC mentorship program is to help you achieve favourable results in the examination. By taking your complete responsibility, by ensuring that the other four pillars of our program and executed in their full capacity, ultimately we will deliver you the results you’re looking for –Â name in that final list of selected candidates.Â
Structure of the UPSC Mentorship Program
The First Session
After registration, the first session will be scheduled the very next day. The initial discussion will be held on how to approach UPSC-CSE in general. The knowledge and skills one must acquire, and an overall plan to do the same. Discussion will also be held on common assumptions, doubts, and myths regarding the exam, including the questions you may have. We’ll end with a rough plan for the exam, to be finalised the next day.
The Second Session
The next day, we’ll hold the second session of the UPSC mentorship program. On this day, there will be a discussion on 1) the Syllabus 2) Sources to study from & 3) the Overall schedule till the target exam (Pre, Mains or both)
First, with mutual discussion, we’ll discuss and fix the syllabus and sources for various subjects considering both prelims and mains exams. (PSIR is optional as well if that applies to you). The syllabus is different for Pre & Mains. Further, PYQ analysis also gives very important clues regarding which topics are more important than others, and the practical meaning of certain topics mentioned in the ‘official UPSC syllabus’.
Post syllabus discussion, we’ll try to fix the study sources for various subjects. The sources will vary for individuals as some of you may have joined or already attained some coaching institute and made notes. Some prefer to study from notes while a fresher can start directly from books as well.
After discussing the syllabus and sources, we’ll finalise the plan and schedule for the coming period. Based on the exam you’ll be giving and your preparation stage, we’ll divide the preparation into various verticals and multiple stages for each vertical. By considering the time at hand, we’ll prepare an overall schedule for exams and divide it into various stages. Below is a sample of such overall schedule.
Sample Preparation Schedule
1. Overall Schedule

A detailed schedule spanning 3/4 months will be made for the first stage of your preparation. A more detailed schedule for the upcoming month will be prepared, and finally, the to-dos for the coming week.Â
This schedule at various stages will ensure that while you have the long-term view of your preparation, you also have your task chalked out for day-to-day execution.Â
2. Stage 1 Schedule: PSIR

3. Stage 1 Schedule: General Studies

4. Weekly Schedule: Week 1

5. Weekly Schedule: Week 2

Third Session Onwards
Now you may think that the mentor’s task is over with the finalisation of study sources and preparation of the study plan. Well, that’s nowhere near reality. Actually, now the task of mentor begins. To ensure that the schedule is followed properly, the doubts that come in between are addressed, any delays in execution are managed smartly, and the student overcomes the numerous obstacles that bother him at an early stage of preparation, including that he/she maintains the motivation throughout.
All sessions henceforth will be conducted on a weekly basis. Third session onwards, we will take a review of the weekly progress. Adjust the timetable if required and assess the progress made. Students have many doubts early in their preparation, and that often obstructs their progress. We’ll ensure that things are clarified on time and your progress continues. We’ll also prepare a detailed schedule for the next week and set targets.Â
Along with the weekly review, based on your preparation stage, we’ll discuss various topics like answer writing skills, making notes, making micro notes, when and how to write test series, mock tests, how to get the best out of test series & mock tests etc. These discussions will help in enhancing your preparation day by day.Â
Students are free to contact the mentor in between for urgent matters. We assure the presence and availability of the mentor. We understand that sometimes students get stuck in some doubt, affecting the overall schedule. Hence, we’ll always be there for you, assuring a near real-time response to all the queries. This is also the reason we’re accepting a very limited number of students for the UPSC mentorship program.Â
About Mentor
I, Abhijeet Pimparkar (B. Tech COEP (2016), MA Pol Sci. (2022)), will be your guide in the journey. I have given two Mains (2019 & 2020) with PSIR optional and missed interviews once by 4 & 2nd by 13 marks.Â
Although I started with a different purpose, UPSC preparation kindled my interest in humanities in general and Political Science specifically. After working in Public Sector for almost 3 years and doing M.A. in political science, I stopped giving exams in 2021 and decided to pursue my academic interest.Â
I am the founder of both Politics for India & Education Province. I’ve written several books i.e. UPSC Prelims PYQ, Mains PYQ, PSIR PYQ, a Book on World History, a compilation of PSIR notes & PSIR current affairs etc. This has helped me gain useful insights on UPSC previous year questions, its patterns, PSIR syllabus etc.Â
I love teaching & explaining and possess very good managerial skills. This will help you immensely in the mentorship program. All the feedbacks given below are genuine and heartfelt.
